Delves Neighbourhood Team Updates

Good evening 

Your Delves neighbourhood officers have had another busy week conducting a variety of tasks on our beat. Earlier this week officers from the team joined our Road Harm Prevention Team conducting a  Multi-Agency Road Safety Operations (MARSO). Officers seized 7 vehicles for various offences and other partners carried out various other road related checks.

Officers conducted a Cuppa with a Coppa event at NASHDOM palfrey joined by local residents discussing various issues.

A stranger danger input was carried out with some of our very young school children at a local primary school.

Officers attended the Gurdwara in Pleck were a community event took place.

Officers have carried out several stop searches for various matters and seized Cannabis and dealt with accordingly.

We have had a theft of number plates

We have also had two burglary offences. The alarm activated on the property of one house and offender/s left.

On the other property no entry was gained and nothing stolen again offenders left.

Could i just remind everyone as we enter into December and the nights are getting darker even earlier, to try to leave a light on or TV or radio just to give the illusion that the house is occupied.

If you do have an alarm system please ensure to put it on, even when you go to bed put it on downstairs if possible.

Again please ensure you vehicle is locked and do not leave anything on display, if you do have a steering wheel lock please use it as additional security.

While out and about this week we have seen a increase in parcels being left outside of residents front doors, if possible please try to get items delivered when someone is available to receive them to avoid any thefts.
